Terriero Salento 2006 NZD

This is one of those red wines that can be described simply as 'delicious'. It is made from a blend of the two Puglian red grape varieties, negroamaro and primitivo, and has a deep colour and intense yet soft array of flavours. It is quite suggestive of a merlot or shiraz but has a softness that makes it good drinking with or without food. Not designed for ageing, but will be good for a number of years.
